Using the services

By using the website or Solder Components, you agree to these terms. If you use the services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to do so. A separate written agreement with Solder may govern a particular project or service; if it conflicts with these terms, that agreement controls for that service.

Use the services lawfully and do not interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use them to harm others. Do not submit information you do not have the right to provide.

Component information and engineering decisions

Solder Components helps you search electronic component catalogs and ask questions about parts. Results can include AI-generated explanations and information from third-party sources. They may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect; product availability and prices can change.

You are responsible for checking part identity, specifications, availability, and suitability against current manufacturer information and for validating your design, safety margins, and applicable requirements before use. The service does not place orders or guarantee that a part will work in your design.

Third-party services and content

The services may use or link to third-party catalogs, datasheets, platforms, and tools. Those providers have their own terms and practices. Solder does not control third-party content or guarantee its accuracy or continued availability.

Your content and privacy

You remain responsible for the information you submit. You permit Solder and its service providers to process it as needed to provide and operate the services. Avoid including sensitive personal information, credentials, or confidential material in component searches or questions.

Availability and limitations

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of the services. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the services and their content are provided as available, without a guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
